JDS achieves 14,000+ recorded FPS on Intransa low cost NAS hardware.

Intransa Systems, a premiere JDS partner, recently provided JDS a VA 100 video server appicance. JDS plugged the unit into our network and , right out of the box, achived over 14,000 FPS of digital video, recorded to disk. The system sustained in excess of 10,000 FPS over an extended period of time.

JDS develops a universal interface for IP and serial based card access / PLC system

JDS has been writing custom applets to interface its NVR software products into several Card Access systems as well as other digital systems for many years. Recently, JDS introduced a utility that combines all the features of the various interfaces into a single application server. Incoming messages from Ip card access systems, as well as serial. are converted into Softsite messages to control video behaviors and functions. Enterprise Command Center, a vitrual video matrix switching system, is also compatible with the system. For the first time, an integrator or end user can 'program' the system with out writing a single line of code.

 

JDS releases Streamcast video re-server, allowing multiple live clients to view a single unicast stream

JDS has recently released Streamcast, a video re-serving technology that is different from others in the industry. Utilizing unicast technology allows the software to work on coprorate networks that otherwise would block multi-cast (broadcast) messaging. The system has multiple behavioral identities that impact how it functions. It can serve video to First Responders, buffering any web page access, NVR software platform or mobile device. Streamcast is also compatible with most competitor NVR software systems... increasing their performace levels substantially.
